Sunken garden, Victorian house, Hurstpierpoint
The clients wanted the design to be for their daughter’s needs in particular. The eldest likes to sit in the sunshine and the youngest child has cerebral palsy, so the space needs to be accessible for her wheelchair, but also an interesting area for her to hide. The parent’s love to entertain and want an area to sit in.
Elizabethan coach house, Sussex
The client’s house is a Grade II Elizabethan coach house, once owned by Thomas Pelham, recently refurbished internally, to a modern contemporary style.
They wanted the garden to be more on the formal side, with sets of rooms and to be able to take in the surrounding rural views.
